March 2007

Updated Acknowledgements

After 2 medical checkups in New Zealand in the last 3 months, we are now preparing for the next big step in terms of surgery for Tae.  The cancer is in remission and tests for the tumour have come back clear. We can now focus on reconstruction of Tae’s face beginning April 19th 2007.  We thank God for keeping us through this difficult time and for all the friends and family all over the world for holding us up in prayer. Tae’s zest for life and positive spirit is a reflection of your prayers and support!  We cannot thank everyone who has taken part but will have a go with the following:

Our sincere appreciation to:

1. the surgical team who have followed through from the beginning and impressed us with their dedication and commitment as well as their compassion in waiving their charges – John Chaplin, Nick McIvor, Mark Izzard, Paul Simpcock, Nigel Parr, Ian Chapman and all the nurses and staff in Gillies, Ascot and Auckland Hospital who have become part of our journey!

2. Churches and community groups as well as kava clubs in communities in Tonga, Fiji New Zealand, Australia and the USA.

3. Organizations and businesses who have stepped up to make a donation or raised funds through staff in Tonga, New Caledonia, Samoa, New Zealand and other countries.

4. Many many individuals who have prayed and supported us from all over the world...

5. Friends and family who have felt our burden and reached out to hold our hand or simply held us up in prayers

6. To those who have helped with fundraising or simply being a sounding board on issues as they have arisen.

Thank you again. We pray that God will continue to bless each one of you and open doors for other families who may go through similar situations.

'ofa lahi atu and blessings.
