This week is WOWS FIJI Week (Wednesday August 10 - Sunday 14th, 2011)
The Laughing Samoans will have 3 concerts with WOWS - performing on Wednesday (August 10th) night in Nadi, followed by shows in Suva on Thursday night (11th) and Friday night (12th).
Saturday 13th is the WOWS Walk at the Vodafone Arena, Suva.., followed by 40+ people shaving their heads to raise funds for child cancer support!
Registration for the walk opens at 6.30am, and will stay open until 9am, so head on down to the Vodafone Arena on Saturday morning to be a part of this year's walk to raise funds to support children with Cancer. All we ask is $1.00 per walker, please.
Don't forget, Shave It or Save It is on after the WOWS Walk - there will be live entertainment, face painting for the kids, an auction of a signed Manu Samoa jersey, and even a bunch of brave heads being shaved - so bring the whole family down and make it a fun day for a good cause :)

6.00am Set up
6.30am Walk Registration
7.25am Welcome Speech & Prayer
7.30am Start of WOWS Walk
8:00 Laughing Samoans and Police Band will be joining us.
9.00am Start of Entertainment
9.30am End of Walk at back to the Vodafone Arena.
10.00am Welcome and Start for “Shave It or Save It”
10.10am Entertainment to continue : Leading Band : Dragon : Ken Jensen and Dragon band, Igelese Ete and the WOWS Choir, Laisa + other local entertainers)
In every 15mins from 10am : Shaving will take place.
11.00am Auction of the Manu Samoa, Tongan and Fijian Rugby Jersey, .
1.00pm Wrap up speeches
SUNDAY 14th : WOWS Thanksgiving Service at the Anglican Catherdral in Suva at 3pm. Everyone is invited!! WOWS Choir with Igelese Ete

A week or so ago myself and some fellow Two Point Oh! LA members got to go on a lovely jaunt to my local TJ Maxx. By local - I mean dangerously close - like 5 minutes walking distance. I'm fortunate enough to live near one of the newer stores complete with an excessively dangerous "Runway" section with lots and lots of high end designer bargains.
